District History Rotary International District-3280

Interact movement of Bangladesh is started from 1967. That time Rotary Club of Dhaka sponsored the first Interact Club. The name of that interact club was "Interact Club of Segun Bagicha High School". But for the independent war of Bangladesh the club is no longer exist after 1971.
In 1976 Rotary Club of Dhaka South sponsored a school based Interact Club named "Interact Club of St. Gegries High School". And this is the first active school based Interact Club of Interact Movement of Bangladesh.
After establishing the first community based Interact Club i.e. "Interact Club of Khulna" in 1983 the Interact movement is continuing with its full force.
In 30th May 1986, DG Rtn. MA Wahab arrange the first Interact District Conference of that times district 328 at Gulshan Model High School. And Itr. Samir Ahmed elected as the first District Interact Representative from Interact Club of St. Josephs High School, Dhaka for Rota-Year 1987-1988.
The first Interact District Directory is publish in Rota-Year 1992-1993 and DIR was Itr. Humayun Kabir Khokon of Interact Club of Khulna.
The present situation of this movement in Bangladesh is not so good. There has only 30 Interact Club and total Interactors are 650.
